Taxonomy
Talparia mariaelisabethae was named by Dolin (1991). Its type specimen is FLMNH 176786, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chipola 09, which is in a Burdigalian marine claystone/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Luria mariaelisabethae by Landau and Groves (2011).
