Taxonomy
Acanthoscapha veghae was named by Kozur (1970). Its type specimen is Bergakademie Freiberg 116/1276, a valve (right valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Forráshegy, Felsõörs, which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in the Felsõörs Formation of Hungary.
