Taxonomy
Acaciapollenites acaciae was named by Caccavari and Guler (2006). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide P 34405, 43.5/103, England Finder references N48/2, a plant debris (pollen grain), and it is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Cx-1 well Argentina, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene shallow subtidal sandstone in the Barranca Formation of Argentina.
