Cancellaria (Trigonostoma) gurabis was named by Maury (1917) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Trigonostoma (Ventrilia) gurabis by Jung and Petit (1990); it was recombined as Ventrilia gurabis by Landau et al. (2012) and Landau et al. (2012).
