Taxonomy
Myophoria cairnesi was named by McLearn (1942). Its type specimen is GSC 9440 and is a mold. Its type locality is Ridge at the head of Grizzly Creek, which is in a Rhaetian marine siliciclastic in the Tyaughton Formation of Canada.
