Taxonomy
Pecten cadwalladerensis was named by McLearn (1942). Its type specimen is GSC 9429 and is a mold. Its type locality is Castle Creek, 6300 feet elevation, which is in a Rhaetian marine siliciclastic in the Tyaughton Formation of Canada.
