Goniatites lamed was named by Sandberger and Sandberger (1850). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Manticoceras lamed by Becker and House (2000), Korn and Klug (2002), House (2002), Woroncowa-Marcinowska (2006) and House and Kirchgasser (2008).
