Retitricolpites perditus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide V-I-88. Loc: 114.6X32.4 (micr. P0 - 58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain tricolpate, subspheroidal; furrow C α 2, C β 1, C γ 2. Sculpture type reticulate (maximum diameter of lumina 0.8 μ). Polar area very small. Thickness of exine ± 1 μ. Grain probably semitectate. Costae colpi present.
