Retitricolpites conciliatus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-9-582 (Catatumbo). Loc: 51X124.7 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain tricolpate, prolate; furrow C α 3, C β 1, C γ 2. Sculpture type reticulate (-foveolate) (maximum diameter of lumina 0.85 μ). Columellae clearly discernible. Grain semitectate. Thickness of exine 2.5 μ, ectexine thicker than endexine. Polar area rather small.
