Taxonomy
Psilatricolporites vanus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-9-582 (Catatumbo). Loc: 42.9X128.4 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain tricolporate, subsphaeroidal; furrow C α 2, C β 2, C γ 1; pore P α 2, P β 2, P γ 1; sculpture type psilate. Polar area rather large. Thickness of exine about 1 μ, with ectexine about as thick as endexine. Wall tectate. Sometimes grains show a slightly scabrate sculpture.
