Retitricolporites finitus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-9-582 (Catatumbo) Loc: 42.3X112.7 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

Thickness of exine about 2 µ in polar area, about 1.3 µ in equatorial area. Wall semitectate. Ectexine thicker than endexine. Muri simplibaculate. Colpi probably with a margo; pores with costae priori. Polar area rather small.
