Polotricolporites versabilis

Polotricolporites versabilis was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-49-578 (Catatumbo). Loc: 121.2X30.6 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain tricolporate, prolate-subprolate; furrow C α 1, C β 2-1, C γ 1; pore P α 3, P β 1, P γ 1; sculpture type reticulate (diameter of lumina 0.5-1.3 μ). Thickness of exine about 1 μ; ectexine thicker than endexine. Exine thicker in polar areas; furrows seem to be connected by 'ridges'. Sometimes grains possess equatorial costar. Wall semitectate; muri simplibaculate.
