Heteronectes chaneti
Taxonomy
Heteronectes chaneti was named by Friedman (2008). Its type specimen is NHMW 1974.1639.24 + 1974.1639.25, a skeleton (part and counterpart), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is ?Monte Postale, which is in a Ypresian carbonate lime mudstone in the Calcari nummulitici Formation of Italy.
