Nathorstites macconnelli

Taxonomy
Popanoceras mcconnelli was named by Whiteaves (1889). Its type specimen is GSC 4716 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liard River, 30 miles below Devil's Portage, which is in a Julian marine siliciclastic in the Liard Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Nathorstites mcconnelli by Smith (1927), Spath (1951), Bychkov et al. (1976) and Arkadiev and Vavilov (1984); it was recombined as Nathorstites macconnelli by Tozer (1994).
