Taxonomy
Eoprotrachyceras matutinum was named by Tozer (1980). Its type specimen is GSC 28632 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 83862, northwest of Wapiti Lake, which is in a Fassanian marine horizon in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada.
