Taxonomy
Silenticeras gibsoni was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 35313 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 85588, Hook Lake, which is in a Longobardian marine siliciclastic in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada.
