Taxonomy
Silenticeras involutum was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 28685 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 83870, Triangulation Station 5969, which is in a Julian marine siliciclastic in the Liard Formation of Canada.
