Taxonomy
Hisnitites janmulleri was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 32364 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 82852, Hisnit Islands, which is in a Tuvalian marine horizon in Canada. It is the type species of Hisnitites.
