Taxonomy
Sirenites serotinus was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 14149 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cliff near Cape Ursula, Table Island (GSC 30369), which is in a Tuvalian marine siliciclastic in the Schei Point Formation of Canada.
