Taxonomy
Malpolon mlynarskii was named by Szyndlar (1988). Its type specimen is MNCN 10000, a partial skull (posterior part of braincase), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Layna, Cerro Pelado, which is in a Ruscinian karst horizon in Spain.
