Tritonium (Ranularia) domingense was named by Gabb (1873). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cymatium domingense by Pilsbry (1922); it was recombined as Cymatium (Turritriton) domingense by Beu and Knudsen (1988); it was recombined as Turritriton domingensis by Beu (2010) and Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
