Longapertites circulatus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-9-582 (Catatumbo) Loc: 41.4X112.6 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain with an aperture exceeding half the length of the greatest circumference of the grain; spheroidal; sculpture type reticulate. Diameter of lumina about 3.5 µ; muri simplibaculate. Diameter of columellae about 2 µ, their height about 5 µ. Thickness of exine (incl. of reticulum) about 5.5 µ. Wall semitectate. Ectexine thicker than endexine.
