Xenobrachyops allos

Taxonomy
Brachyops allos was named by Howie (1972). Its type specimen is QM F6572, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Duckworth Creek, SW of Bluff, QML 215, which is in an Induan terrestrial mudstone in the Arcadia Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Xenobrachyops.

It was recombined as Xenobrachyops allos by Warren and Hutchinson (1983) and Warren and Marsicano (2000).
