Watsonisuchus magnus

Taxonomy
Wetlugasaurus magnus was named by Watson (1962). Its type specimen is UMZC T173, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Watford Form, Burgersdorp, which is in a Spathian terrestrial sandstone in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa.

It was synonymized subjectively with Kestrosaurus dreyeri by Shishkin et al. (2004); it was recombined as Watsonisuchus magnus by Damiani (2001), Damiani and Rubidge (2003) and Maganuco et al. (2009).
