Longapertites proxapertitoides reticuloides was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-96-579 (Catatumbo) Loc: 121X27.8 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain monocolpate, globular to ellipsoid, prolate-subspheroidal; furrow usually exceeding length of grain and sometimes nearly circular; type C α 1, C β 1, C γ 1; sculpture type reticulate (diameter of lumina 0.8-3 μ). Lumina of reticulum diminishing in size towards the colpi. Wall semitectate; muri simplibaculate. Thickness of exine about 3 μ; ectexine thicker than endexine.
