Taxonomy
Triporites inverseni was named by Van der Hammen (1954). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-49 (Catatumbo). Loc: 37.7X121 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.
It was recombined as Annutriporites inversenii by González-Guzmán (1967).
