Taxonomy
Kolymia churavtsovi was named by Biakov (2012). Its type specimen is SVKNII 39/02-06.98, a valve (right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Beglyi Creek, outcrop 25, tributary of Khuren River, which is in a Roadian marine siliciclastic in the Beglyi Formation of the Russian Federation.
