Retitriporites dubiosus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-20-564 (Catatumbo). Loc: 35.5X113.3 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain triporate, equatorial limb circular; pore P α 1, P β 2, P γ 1; sculpture type reticulate (diameter of lumina about 0.8 μ); thickness of exine about 1.3 μ; ectexine thicker than endexine. Muri simplibaculate and grain semitectate. Sometimes pores of type P α 2, which means that they probably have costar pori, although the latter are not always visible.
