Liliacidites regularis was named by Archangelsky (1973). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: p.m. 967; coord. 46.5/93.1. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Pollen grain), and it is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Bajada de Hansen, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial shale in Argentina.

S. Archangelsky 1973Grano monocolpado de contorno ecuatorial ovalado a subcircular y de extremos redondeados, en vista ecuatorial biconvexo. Colpo 3/4 a 4/5 del diámetro ecuatorial mayor, de márgenes lisos. Exina reticulada, hasta 2 µ de espesor; capa basal más delgada (0.5 µ); columelas delicadas, clavuladas, fusionadas apicalmente formando
un retículo de muros delgados que delimitan aréolas poligonales,de 1.5-2 µ, levemente mayores en la cara proximal y menores en los extremos.
