Taxonomy
Lasiosyne cataphracta was named by Yan (2012). Its type specimen is PIN 3559/6384, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bon Tsagaan (PIN collection 3559, outcrop 74), which is in an Aptian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Dzun-Bain Formation of Mongolia.
