Gobiops desertus

Taxonomy
Gobiops desertus was named by Shishkin (1991). It is not extant. Its type locality is Ulan Malgait Mtn. (Shar Teg Fm., "labyrinthodont" layer) [SMPE], which is in a Jurassic terrestrial sandstone in the Shar Teg Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Gobiops.
