Edingerella madagascariensis

Taxonomy
Benthosuchus madagascariensis was named by Lehman (1961). Its type specimen is MNHN MAE.3003a/b/c, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Madiromiary, which is in an Induan/Smithian deltaic siliciclastic in the Middle Sakamena Formation of Madagascar. It is the type species of Edingerella.

It was recombined as Watsonisuchus madagascariensis by Steyer (2003); it was recombined as Edingerella madagascariensis by Schoch and Milner (2000) and Maganuco et al. (2009).
