Taxonomy
Derwentia warreni was named by Cosgriff (1974). Its type specimen is UTGD 87784, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Old Beach, which is in an Induan channel conglomerate in the Knocklofty Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Derwentia.
