Retistephanoporites angelicus

Taxonomy
Retistephanoporites angelicus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-73-574 (Catatumbo). Loc: 36.8X125 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts. It is the type species of Retistephanoporites.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain stephanoporate; equatorial limb circular; pore P α 1, P β 2, P γ 1; sculpture type reticulate (maximum diameter of lumina about 1 μ). Muri simplibaculate. Thickness of exine about 1.7 μ; ectexine thicker than endexine. Wall semitectate.
