S. Archangelsky and M. C. Zamaloa 1986Grano prolado de extremos redondeados. Colpos llegando de cerca de los polos, de márgenes irregulares. Exina reticulada semitectada. Retículo de lúmenes poligonales de tamaño irregular de 0.7 a 4 µm de diámetro, muros 0.7 a 1 µm de ancho. Nexina de ca. 1 µm de espesor, sexina de hasta 2 µm. Columelas anchas con cabezas expandidas y parcialmente fusionadas dispuestas en hileras dobles o simples.
