Taxonomy
Ephedripites was named by Bolkhovitina and Potonié (1958) [Type species. Ephedripites mediolobatus Bolkhovitina 1953.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon.
It was assigned to Ephedrales by Perez Loinaze et al. (2023); and to Ephedraceae by Ruiz and Quattrocchio (1997) and Huang et al. (2023).
