Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
T. Van der Hammen and C. Garcia de Mutis 1966 | Pollen grains very large, ± 130 μ (but variable), with a very large (± 90 μ, variable) and ± irregular (like in Proxapertites operculatus) 'aperture'. Tectum perforate, and large 'columellae'. The grain has some resemblance with 'Monocolpites' humbertoides v.d.H. 1954, which possibly also belongs to the genus Proxapertites. |
