T. Van der Hammen and C. Garcia de Mutis 1966A more complete description is given here than in 1954. Syncolporate, scab rate to micro-verrucate. The exine is slightly thicker and darker near the pores, thus forming something like an annulus. Size ± 18-21 μ. The exine in the intercolpia is thin. The height of the sculpture elements is ± 0.5 μ. The zone of the annulus is psilate.
