Taxonomy
Goniothyris uniformis was named by Seifert (1963). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Röttingen, Bifurcata Oolith, which is in a Bajocian marine horizon in the "Bifurcata Oolith" Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Morrisithyris uniformis by Alméras and Peybernès (1979).
