Huasteconodon wiblei
Taxonomy
Huasteconodon wiblei was named by Montellano et al. (2008). Its type specimen is IGM 6619, a maxilla (Fragment of left maxilla with two molars and alveoli for a third), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huizachal Canyon (general), which is in a Pliensbachian floodplain siltstone in the La Boca Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Huasteconodon.
