C.-C. Young 1951 | Tritylodontoidea with the dental formula I1, C0, Pc6-7/I1?, C0?, Pc6-7. Anterior post canine teeth are fully molarized. All the cheek teeth are oblique, subquadrate in outline. Upper teeth have three rows of tubercles and, lower, two rows. Skull is truncated both anteriorly and posteriorly. Snout is short and pointed. Choanae is small and far forward situated near the tip of the skull. Septomaxilla and lacrymal are much reduced. No postorbital. Zygomotic arch is strongly expanded and extending posteriorly up to the very marginal part slightly overhanging the occiput. Lower jaw is robust with vestiges of articular and surangular besides the big dental. Articulation with both quadrate and squamosal is probable. |
