Taxonomy
Arpadites (Dittmarites) hindei was named by von Mojsisovics (1896). It is not extant. Its type locality is Bambanag, Halorites Beds, which is in a Norian carbonate limestone in India.

It was recombined as Pleurodistichites hindei by Tozer (1980) and Tozer (1994).
