Taxonomy
Parathetidites laevis was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 72200 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 98870, Black Bear section, which is in an Alaunian marine siliciclastic in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
