Taxonomy
Leislingites politus was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 28904 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 68302, Mount Ludington, which is in an Alaunian marine siliciclastic in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
