Taxonomy
Tropites keiliformis was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 18877 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 22691, Open Bay, Quadra Island, which is in a Tuvalian marine siliciclastic in the Open Bay Formation of Canada.
