Taxonomy
Paratropites teres was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 28977 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 42320, Mount McLearn, which is in a Tuvalian marine siliciclastic in the Baldonnel Formation of Canada.
