Taxonomy
Hoplotropites globosus was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 32098 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 42380, Alaska Highway, which is in a Tuvalian marine siliciclastic in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
