Taxonomy
Griesbachites pinensis was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 32209 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 83826, Carbon Creek, which is in a Lacian marine horizon in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
