Taxonomy
Acrochordiceras carlottense was named by Whiteaves (1889). Its type specimen is GSC 4717 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Juvavites carlottensis by Smith (1927); it was recombined as Margarijuvavites carlottensis by Tozer (1994).
