Taxonomy
Metasibirites speratus was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 71035 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 98559, Cairn 6266, which is in a Sevatian marine siliciclastic in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
